April Fools Worm

I guess this could be our last post, if the April Fools Worm isn’t just a hoax…

Apparently every computer in the world is going to crash tomorrow and people will be in the streets wondering what to do with themselves… Because how can you live without a computer?!?!?!

I like how all of these virus alerts end up blowing by without anything actually happening. Like an April fools worm doesn’t seem like a prank… But wait, is that what the masterminds behind it want us to think? Will everyone dismiss the threat just because it falls on April 1st?

Those tricky bastards… Do they win either way? If the Conficker.c virus is a hoax, then they’ve scared everyone…. and if it’s real, people didn’t believe it.

And what is it supposed to do anyway? Oh nothing… Just allow the designers to log everything you do on your computer! Lift bank account numbers, log-in info, etc…

Hmmm….. Maybe we will do that Microsoft update we keep seeing those alerts for…

Salmonella Symptoms

Uh Oh… Salmanella seems to be taking the U.S. by storm and everyone is online looking for a list of salmonella symptoms to see if the brown eggs or nuts they just ate are giving them more than an upset stomach.

Everyone knows what you can get salmonella and that it might kill you. OK, so what do we look for?

Salmonella Symptoms:

Salmonella symptoms typically start out much like Flu symptoms. Fever, upset stomach, diarrhea, nausea, etc. They typically start a few days after the contamination. But be careful. Hundreds of people die each year from this and with all the recent news headlines, it looks like it could be on the rise. If you experience these symptoms for more than 2 days, it’s beast to get in to see a doctor.

So why is would Salmonella outbreaks be increasing? Is it just that the news is covering it more or are the food processors cutting corners and putting our lives at risk? Maybe a little of both.
